From the MacNair's Exploration collection of fine spirits blended by Billy Walker at Glenallachie distillery, this MacNair's Unpeated Jamaican rum was sourced from the Clarendon distillery and has been bottled at 46% without colouring or chill filtration.

MacNair's Exploration Unpeated Jamaican is no ordinary Jamaican rum, of course. A mix of low, medium and high ester Clarendon rums were transferred to Scotland and began maturation at a full strength 86% in a mix of American oak and French oak casks - a mix of ex-rye whiskey and Rioja red wine casks plus some virgin oak casks for good measure.

After 30 months, the rums were expertly blended by Billy Walker and were then reduced to 69% and returned to their casks to marry. As with the rest of the MacNair's Boutique House of Spirits range, this is a rum to be reckoned with.

Colour: Golden Sunrise.

Nose: Bursting with tropical fruits, vanilla and orchard fruits, with golden syrup, strawberry coulis and butterscotch.

Palate: Layers of honey, pineapple and plantains, with dried banana chips, grapefruit and cinnamon.
