One of a pair of 7-year-old Panamanian rums bottled by Glenallachie's premium brand MacNair's for their Exploration series of boutique spirits.

This remarkable Panama rum spent the majority of its maturation in Panama, before arriving in Speyside for Billy Walker to work his magic on it, blending the casks together and then finishing them in a mix of American oak and casks that formerly held a *peated Glenallachie* whisky before bottling at 46% without colouring or chill filtration.

All of which is very exciting indeed: firstly, the prospect that a peated Glenallachie may be on its way, but (more immediately) that there's a peat-tinged Panama rum right here and now... Is there anything Billy Walker cannot do?

Tasting Notes

Colour: Sunset Gold.

Nose: A rich presence of plantains, apricots, coconut, and cigar smoke.

Palate: Layers of peaches, mango, and pineapple, with burnt sugar, mocha, and orange zest.
