A bottle of Springbank distillery's Longrow Peated Campbeltown single malt whisky released by the distillery in 2021 at 46% without colouring or chill filtration. Springbank's Longrow single malt is double-distilled, in contrast to the 2.5 distillations for standard Springbank and the triple-distilled Hazelburn malt, and at 40-45ppm is considerably more heavily-peated than standard Springbank malt, which is generally around 12-15ppm.
Longrow Peated replaced the old Longrow CV no-age-statement bottling in Longrow's core range in 2012, and has proven enduringly popular with fans of the more smoky side of Campbeltown thanks to a winning combination of youthful exuberance and a very nice lemony - and occasionally tropical - fruit character alongside the earthiness and oily, smoky phenols associated with the Longrow style.
