A single cask Longmorn 2006 19-year-old Speyside single malt whisky released by indie bottlers Gleann Mor in 2026 as part of their Rare Find range.

This 19-year-old Longmorn 2006 came from single cask 12597, and was an edition of 155 bottles released without colouring or chill filtration at its remarkable full cask strength of 60.4% after being finished in a barrique cask that had previously been home to the famed Italian red wine Amarone.

Amarone is one of Italy’s most-famous wines, luxuriously full-bodied and with a plush, fruit-forward style. This single cask release has been finished for 14 months in an Amarone barrique – the perfect match for the richness and intense fruity character of Longmorn.

Tasting Notes

NOSE: Aromas of stewed plums and ripe hedgerow berries open the nose, layered with the comforting sweetness of buttery shortbread and hints of golden tobacco. Subtle undertones of warm spice and soft oak add complexity.

PALATE: A thick, syrupy arrival unfolding with rich red berries and red currants, layered with notes of dark chocolate and lacquered oak.

FINISH: The finish lingers with soft, sweet fruits, while a sparkling, effervescent oakiness adds lift and texture.
