This 12-year-old Ledaig 2008 was designated Batch 20/074, with the whisky ageing initially in refill sherry hogsheads before being finished in Hermitage casks for the final three years of maturation. Hermitage is a famous Syrah red wine made in the Rhone region of France, so expect spicy cherry and black fruit notes alongside Ledaig's trademark phenolic meaty funk.
