The second of three separate batches of Lagg's Inaugural single malt release in 2022 was an edition of 10,000 bottles of the distillery's heavily peated single malt whisky, bottled at 50% without colouring or chill filtration.

The whisky for Lagg Inaugural Single Malt Batch 2 was matured for three years, with 30 months of ageing in first fill ex-bourbon barrels before a six month finishing period in small 55 litre sherry casks, giving the whisky an impressive deep golden colour. As you'd expect, the phenols are very prominent here, with a dirty, sooty leathery character and hints of cooked fruit, salt and peppery spices
