Lagg Corriecravie Edition
Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 55%
Introduced at the tail end of 2023, Lagg Corriecravie is the second core range release from Arran's second distillery after the launch of Lagg Kilmory earlier in the year.
Like its stablemate Kilmory, Lagg Corriecravie is made with water from the distillery's own well, and is bottled without colouring or chill filtration, but these are very different drams - while Kilmory is matured entirely in bourbon barrels and bottled at 46%, Lagg Corriecravie is finished for around six months in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez producer Miguel Martin, and is bottled at a hefty 55% for extra flavour impact.
Lagg is going from strength to strength, picking up the Scottish Whisky Distillery of the year at the Scottish Whisky Awards just as these bottles were hitting our shelves. Lagg is definitely a distillery to keep an eye on, and this Corriecravie is a very welcome addition to the distillery's range.
