A small batch Lagavulin Distillery Exclusive Islay single malt whisky bottled at cask strength in 2018 for sale to thirsty visitors at the distillery shop.

This Distillery Exclusive Lagavulin was selected by the distillery team, led by then-manager Georgie Crawford, and was a vatting of Lagavulin that had been double-matured in specially charred American oak casks and first fill bourbon hogsheads, in a limited edition of 6000 bottles at its natural cask strength of 53.5%. This is a fresh, sweet, smoky, spicy delight and, while there's no age statement, contemporary rumours suggested it was composed of casks aged 8-15 years. Either way, it's a terrific dram.
