An old bottle of 1996 Lagavulin Distillers Edition bottled back in 2012 when the DEs still had vintages. 

As ever, the Lagavulin Distillers Edition has been finished in casks that formerly held Pedro Ximenez sherry, bringing exceptionally deep rich dried fruit and nutty tones to Lagavulin's phenolic heft. It's not hard to see why this Lagavulin is always the most popular of the Distillers Edition range.
