Released in 2023, this is the 13th batch of beloved Islay distillery Kilchoman's 100% Islay, a flagship bottling in the distillery's core range that is made entirely with their own locally grown barley.
Peated to 20ppm and bottled at 50% without colouring or chill filtration, 2023's Kilchoman 100% Islay was distilled entirely from the Publican barley variety between 2012-2014, so the whisky is a minimum 8 years old. This year's batch is the first vatting since 2019 to be 100% ex-bourbon casks, with 44 predominantly first fill casks yielding a total of 13000 bottles.

Nose: Malt loaf, toffee apple, banana bread, citrus, lavender, pear drops, sea salt and hints of peat smoke.
Palate: Fresh vanilla and fragrant peat smoke with caramel, barley blossom, sultanas and hints of spicy oak tannins.
Finish: Silky viscosity with fresh crumpets, butter and honey.
