First launched as Johnnie Walker Oldest in 1987, before becoming Johnnie Walker Blue Label in 1992, this remains Diageo's flagship super-premium blend, with long-aged single grain and single malt whiskies making up the assemblage.

This old bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue dates from the early years of this century, after the Striding Man changed direction in 1999, but before the introduction of the modern JW Blue bottle in 2011. These old-style JW Blue Label editions from 20-odd years ago are usually significantly better than their modern counterparts as they were made with older, better whiskies.
