Blended Scotch Whisky 750ml / 40%

An old bottle of Johnnie Walker XR 21-year-old blended Scotch whisky. Originally created for the travel retail export markets, XR 21-year-old is one of the best of the recent Johnnie Walker offshoots and special editions. This particular version with the XR21 in gold on the front dates from 2016 or later.

Johnnie Walker XR 21-year-old is a prestige blend created to commemorate the knighthood bestowed upon Alexander Walker II, John Walker's grandson, and is said to have been inspired by his handwritten notes on blending. Master Blender Jim Beveridge had his choice of Diageo’s most precious mature stock to work with for this whisky, and built the assemblage around a core of long aged Port Dundas, with classic single malts supplying the top dressing.
