Invergordon 2009-2021 | 12 Year Old | Duncan Taylor Octave Cask 5232695
Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Duncan Taylor 70cl / 55.4%
A special sherry-finished cask strength 12-year-old Invergordon 2009 single grain whisky that started life in ex-bourbon casks before a finishing period in one of Duncan Taylor's sherry octaves, which are made by recoopering one large sherry butt into eight smaller casks.
As ever, the advantage of the octave is that it has a dramatic impact on the whisky in a short time - but the rub is that each octave cask holds only around 50-60 litres, and consequently only 86 bottles of this 2009 Invergordon 12-year-old exist, so don't delay if you fancy one.
