This 5-year-old Inchgower 2016 was matured in a handful of first fill ex-bourbon barrels, with 910 bottles released at Carn Mor's preferred strength of 47.5%. Inchgower is capable of very long ageing, and shines in either bourbon or sherry casks, but the distillery's clean, taut spirit works well as a youngster when it's had an active cask. This should be perfect summer whisky.
