Released in early summer 2022, GlenWyvis 2018 Batch 02/18 is only the second single malt whisky from GlenWyvis distillery after their investor-only inaugural release at the end of 2021. The GlenWyvis distillery is located in Dingwall up in the Scottish Highlands near Ben Wyvis, and is powered by renewable energy with a proportion of the profits going back to the local community. 

GlenWyvis 2018 Batch 02/18 was matured in a mix of ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels (60%), first fill Oloroso sherry casks (25%) and refill hogsheads (15%) and has been bottled at 46.5%. GlenWyvis practices long fermentation and the whisky is all made from local Concerto barley and matured in dunnage warehouses at the distillery.

2018 was the first year of distillation at Glen Wyvis, which is a Community Benefit Society and raised the funds for the distillery's construction through a crowd-funding campaign that attracted over 3500 local investors. We're delighted to welcome GlenWyvis whisky to our virtual shelves!

Nose: Soft white grapes, giving way to a jammy sweetness.

Palate: Vanilla fudge, sherbet fizz and pear drops.

Finish: Initial dark chocolate with lingering summer berry.
