Ruadh Maor (Glenturret) 2010-2020 | 9 Year Old Cooper's Choice Single Cask 186
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Cooper's Choice 70cl / 58%
A very interesting bottling of Ruadh Maor 2010 9-year-old Highland single malt whisky. Ruadh Maor, you'll remember, is the heavily-peated single malt made in very small quantities by Glenturret distillery, and was first made in 2009 as the peated component for then-owners Edrington's Black Grouse.
The peat levels are supposedly pretty high for Glenturret's Ruadh Maor - in the vicinity of 80-120ppm - so you can expect a hefty phenolic whack from this Cooper's Choice single cask 186 from the 2010 vintage, an ex-bourbon cask 9-year-old bottled in 2020 at a chunky 58%, yielding just 342 bottles.
