A single cask Glenrothes 2004 11-year-old Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2015 without colouring or chill filtration by Douglas Laing for their Old Particular range.
This 11-year-old Glenrothes 2004 came from single cask 10792, a sherry hogshead that yielded 250 bottles at the Old Particular standard strength of 48.4%. Sherry hogshead casks are half the size of the normal sherry butts, ensuring a higher surface area to volume ratio and therefore more wood / spirit interaction. The glorious natural colour suggests this Glenrothes should be a peach.
