An old bottle of the Glenkinchie 1992 Distillers Edition from back in the good old days of 2007 when the Classic Malts Distillers Editions were still vintage releases. These early versions were also matured a few years longer than some of the more recent vintages.

As the Lowland distillery chosen over Rosebank for the Classic Malts range, Glenkinchie endured a certain amount of residual resentment from some quarters of the whisky fandom, but the Distillers Edition version, always finished in amontillado sherry casks, was probably the most interesting and rewarding official bottling from the distillery outside of the very occasional Special Releases. A very pleasant after-dinner tipple.
