A lovely old bottle of the Glenglassaugh 1973 Family Silver, this was released as an edition of 5000 bottles in 1998, so the whisky is around 25 years old.

Glenglassaugh had a troubled production history under Highland Distillers and had been in mothballs for over a decade when this whisky was released, but this is a superlative whisky, very old school Speyside style with honey, hay, tweed, herbs, oak spices and a gentle, creamy mouthfeel. A particularly elegant old 'Glassaugh.
