Glenfarclas 1959-2002 | Christmas Day Distillate

Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46%

Old Glenfarclas' such as this one from the 1950s are, without fail, stunning drams that reveal an extinct style of Speyside distilling full of oily, gently phenolic, immensely fruity and wonderfully complex characteristics that linger long in the mouth and the mind. A historic, stunning and emotional bottling.

1959 was the last year that Glenfarclas distilled spirit on Christmas Day. This stunning bottling hails from that final festive distillation and was bottled in 2002 at just under 43 years of age. This was from an era when Glenfarclas still contained a fair proportion of peat and should be absolutely stunning whisky.
