Glenfarclas 1953-2012 | 58 Year Old Single Cask 1682
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 43.9%
A bottle of the exceptionally rare Glenfarclas 1953 58-year-old released in 2012 at its natural cask strength of 43.9%. This was part of the 'Auld Alliance' release from Glenfarclas in partnership with Hine, who released a 1953 vintage cognac (not included) at the same time.
There were several top class single casks of Glenfarclas 1953 bottled around this time, and Single Cask 1682 was one of the best of them - a naturally low strength 'Farc with a glorious old school sherry profile. Sadly, this was also one of the rarest expressions of the vintage, with Cask 1682 yielding just 97 bottles in total.
