Glendronach Port Wood
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46%
Glendronach have been releasing port-finished official bottlings in various guises for a while now, with the first modern era bottling being a 20-year-old that appeared in 2010 during former owner Billy Walker's time at the distillery's helm, and further editions at both 15 and 18 years old that were discontinued around the time Glendronach was purchased by Brown Forman in 2016.
After a brief hiatus, the Glendronach Port Wood edition returned in 2020 without an age statement but (more importantly) still bottled at 46% without any added colouring. A richly fruity Glendronach showing plenty of sweet berry influence from the Douro.
