This 21 year old 1993 Glendronach is the only one of the Batch 10 releases not to be matured in a PX sherry puncheon. Instead this one comes from an Oloroso Sherry Butt. The result is a more straight forward, classical style Glendronach with loads of nutty, marzipan notes, slight earthiness, sweet fruit compotes, treacle, butterscotch and a more mineral, smoky/flinty edge. Beautiful whisky.
