Gordon & MacPhail and the Glenburgie distillery in Speyside have a long and productive history together, with Elgin's finest acting as the de facto official bottler for Glenburgie for many years. This happy relationship is now celebrated in Gordon & MacPhail's Distillery Labels series, from whence this Glenburgie 2004-2019 has issued.

There's no official word on cask type for this 2004 Glenburgie but judging by the colour one would guess ex-bourbon and/or refill sherry casks. At an easy-drinking 43%, this would be a perfect introductory dram for adventurous Speyside fans who haven't yet tried the delights of Glenburgie.

Nose: Subtle sherry aromas with butterscotch and spices.

Palate: Smooth and sweet, stewed fruit, milk chocolate.

Finish: Roasted hazelnut.
