Assembled by Glenallachie's head honcho and maestro warehouse digger Billy Walker, the majority of this whisky is from Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheons, with a smattering of virgin oak and red wine barriques.
Glenallachie 8-year-old has been bottled at an easy-drinking 46%, and as you'd expect from a Billy Walker distillery, it's been bottled without colouring or chill filtration. A great entry-level Speyside whisky from one of Scotland's fastest-rising distilleries.

Palate: Lashings of treacle, dried sultanas and butterscotch, with cinnamon, peppermint and honeycomb.
