This 22-year-old Glenallachie 1981 came from single cask 600, bottled without colouring or chill filtration at 46%. Glenallachie was in the doldrums when this cask was bottled, with little indication that the miraculous revival by Billy Walker was just around the corner - casks like these demonstrate that the distillery's quality was always there for anyone who cared to look.
