Gordon & MacPhail seem to have better stocks than anyone from the Glen Mhor distillery, which closed in 1983 in the first wave of shutdowns during the whisky lake crisis and is now getting extremely scarce. This 1980 Glen Mhor is a fine example aged at least 30 years, and leans more towards the thick, heady richness and wax-driven power that often made this distillery so great.
