Famous Grouse 21 Year Old
Blended Scotch Whisky 70cl / 43%
A lovely old bottle of Famous Grouse 21-year-old blended Scotch whisky, bottled most likely around the mid 1990s, when Famous Grouse blenders Matthew Gloag were owned by Highland Distillers.
Bottled at 43%, the malt content of this Famous Grouse 21-year-old can be assumed to be early 1970s single malts, much of which would likely have come from Highland Distillers' portfolio at the time - which included Highland Park, Glenrothes, Tamdhu, Glenglassaugh and Bunnahabhain.
In 1993, around the same time as this bottle would have appeared, the company acquired Glenturret distillery which is now established as the modern-day home of Famous Grouse.
