An old bottle of the rare Famous Grouse 1992 Blended Malt whisky. This was one of several vintage bottlings of Famous Grouse blended malt - a blended whisky without any grain whiskies in the recipe, also previously known as 'pure' or 'vatted' malt whiskies.
Famous Grouse did quite a few of these vintage blended malts between 1999 and 2004, using malts distilled from 1987-1992. This version was vatted using only malt whiskies from the 1992 vintage and was released in 2004 at around 11 or 12 years old. A very nice dram, these were bargains back in the day and are still great value today.
