A single cask Dalmunach 2016 4-year-old Speyside single malt whisky released in 2021 by indie bottlers Duncan Taylor for their Octave Cask range.
This was our first Dalmunach whisky on Whisky-Online. Dalmunach is of course the new distillery built on the site of the old Imperial distillery and very few bottlings have appeared so far. So is the Empire striking back?
Well, it's only four years old, but of course a significant chunk of this Dalmunach's maturation has taken place in one of Duncan Taylor's special Octave mini sherry casks - as evidenced by the rich gold colour - so no doubt that's added plenty of extra character. A sister Octave was featured on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch and garnered rave reviews, so we've got very high hopes for this.
