Dallas Dhu 1971-1994 | Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 40%
A small batch Dallas Dhu 1971 Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 1994 by Gordon & MacPhail for their legendary Connoisseurs Choice range. This particular Dallas Dhu 1971 was bottled at the height of the Connoisseurs Choice range’s imperious ‘Old Map Label’ era.
Dallas Dhu was for many years a lost distillery, closing in 1983 under Diageo forerunner DCL’s stewardship as one of the many victims of the whisky lake crisis. Thankfully, the buildings and equipment were preserved as Dallas Dhu spent decades as a distillery museum under Historic Scotland, and although previous mooted revivals never transpired Dallas Dhu began whisky production once again in 2024 under the management of Aceo Distillers, owners of Murray McDavid.
