A small batch Daftmill 2008 Winter Batch Release Lowland single malt whisky bottled without colouring or chill filtration in 2020.
As you may or may not remember, this bottling was a batch of first fill ex-bourbon casks selected by Francis Cuthbert, all of which were filled during a ten-week period between February and April in the winter of 2008. This stock was found recently at Daftmill, and we're delighted to have it back on our virtual shelves.
The reviews on this bottling were very promising, with the official tasting notes promising summer fruit and patisserie notes alongside custard and cake spice from the oak, and the whisky really delivers. As ever with Daftmill, these bottles will be in high demand.
