This Bowmore is a mix of bourbon and sherry casks that would have been filled in the late 1980s and carries the distillery's trademark exotic fruits and gentle peat, mellowed further by a quarter century in wood, and accompanied by notes of hazelnuts, dark fruit, lavender, rubber, and a notable salinity. For adherents of the 1980s Bowmore style this will be a proper treat.
