Blended Rum 750ml / 40%

An old bottle of Black Heart Rum released at some point in the 1980s. Black Heart is blended with rums from across the Caribbean, with Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana and Jamaica all represented in the assemblage.

Akin to a dark Navy-style blended rum without the potent strength, Black Heart was a big rival to the likes of Lamb's and OVD in the 1970s and 1980s. Black Heart Rum is still very popular in New Zealand, where the brand originated (Black Heart was even the official Naval rum for New Zealand sailors while the tot ration was still active) and in Scotland, where later owners United Rum Merchants were based.
