New indie kids on the block Pendulum Spirits seem to have knocked it out of the park with the first set of releases in their Fable series of single malts. This 2009 Benrinnes is Chapter Four, representing the Bay in their Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay fable.
This is a single refill hogshead of the 2009 vintage from Benrinnes distillery, bottled in 2021 as a 12-year-old at full cask strength without colouring or chill filtration, and like the rest of this Fable batch it's natural refill cask whisky from an underrated Diageo distillery. At 55.5%, this should be a great drop.
