Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Colour: Burnt amber.
Nose: Citrusy, lemon zest. Grated ginger. Pistachio nuts and boiled sweets.
Palate: Very spicy – opens with an immediate pepper note. This then retreats backstage to allow the deeper flavours to reveal themselves. Quite elegant, with worm-tub driven complexity. There's a dessert style quality at play, almonds and molten sugars, but it's well balanced. The fruit force is strong here - apricots, raisins and oven-baked Bramley apples.
