An extraordinary old 1954 Armagnac from the Baron de Lustrac house. Lustrac is what's known as an éleveur - a brand that buys small parcels of high quality spirit from small independent producers, which they age and bottle themselves.

Lustrac specialise in vintage eaux-de-vie, which are much more common in Armagnac than Cognac. This 1954 vintage armagnac from Lustrac will have been aged in the traditional 420-litre casks for decades before being decanted into glass demi-johns to mellow, sometimes for decades longer before bottling.
