This 22-year-old Balmenach was bottled from a small batch of first fill bourbon barrels released at a characterful but easy-drinking strength of 44.9%. The obscure Diageo workhorse distillery Balmenach is more familiar to most whisky fans from sherry casks, so this bourbon-matured small batch is doubly rare.
