Aultmore is a distillery that until a few years ago had its light kept firmly under a bushel, and when we say 'light' we're talking about single malt whisky, and when we say 'under a bushel' we do of course mean 'in a big vat marked Dewar's'.

Thankfully Aultmore has its own range of proper official bottlings now, and being a pretty big distillery there's still plenty left over for the indie bottlers. Here's a nice one, an Aultmore 2008 bottled by Duncan Taylor as a 12-year-old in 2021 for their Dimensions series from sherry cask 959003300, which turned out 354 bottles at 54.5%.
