A landmark release for Ardnamurchan, this Ardnamurchan 10-year-old AD/10 Highland single malt whisky is the first of a new series of general release 10-year-old single malts from Adelphi Distillers’ independent West Highland distillery.
Heralding an exciting new chapter for Ardnamurchan, Ardnamurchan AD/10 10-year-old will be a series of annual releases of 10-year-old Ardnamurchan malts while sufficient stocks of mature spirit are built up to add it to the core range.
For this first edition of AD/10, Ardnamurchan used a ratio of 52% unpeated to 48% peated spirit. A total of 54 ex-bourbon barrels were batched together with two sherry hogshead casks for depth and flavour complexity, and the total outturn of 16380 bottles was released without colouring or chill filtration at the distillery’s preferred strength of 46.8%.
