This 1994 Ardmore 28-year-old came from a refill American hogshead cask number 10894 that yielded a total of 235 bottles at a great drinking strength of 52%.

Ardmore was a pretty obscure name back in the 1990s but the distillery still had its direct coal-fired stills back then and was on a great run of form - the 1990s vintages we've tried recently have all been splendid.
