This 12-year-old Ardmore was bottled by Living Souls from a small batch of bourbon barrels that had previously held Islay single malt whisky and was bottled at a fresh and approachable 46% strength, though the Islay cask and Ardmore's peated spirit will likely have combined to make this Ardmore particularly smoky - this is one for the phenol fans, and like the rest of the Living Souls range it looks like good value whisky for the price.
