Ardbeg Rollercoaster was a multivintage NAS bottling released in 2009 to celebrate 10 years of the Ardbeg Committee.
A vatting of ten different Ardbeg vintages, the resulting Rollercoaster is a very tarry, very coastal and very big Ardbeg that wears its youth quite deftly. A great dram. Tar, old rope, grisly peat oils, iodine, salt, lemon juice, kreel nets, mash tuns, all the usual youthful, modern Islay characters are there in abundance.
A big powerful wake-up call of an Ardbeg, good at cask strength but better with a small drop of water to open it up.
